Description
The Production Supervisor leads and supports the daily operations of the Filament Winding (FW) team, ensuring Safety, Quality, Productivity, and On-Time delivery. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coaching employees, team building, maintaining compliance standards, and driving continuous improvement. Success in this position means developing a skilled, engaged team that consistently meets performance goals while living out our TRUE values.
Shift: Monday-Thursday | 4:00PM-2:30AM
  • The Supervisor does receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40.

Leadership & People Development
• Lead, direct, and coach a team of 20-30 Filament Winding employees
• Build a cohesive and supporting team that is focused on meeting Safety, Quality, Productivity, and training objectives
• Conduct daily kiosk meetings: communicate Safety, Quality, and Production priorities; lead stretches; assign tasks
• Ensure all team members are trained and competent; develop and execute training plans with the MGR
• Conduct 30/60/90-day and annual performance reviews
• Promote a positive, engaged work environment aligned with TRUE values, while supporting company policies and mission
• Administer employee discipline in collaboration with Manager and HR dept.
• Manage shift schedules, time-off requests, attendance points, and timesheet reconciliation
Operational Excellence
• Maintain a safe work environment through daily inspections and enforcement of PPE, floor management, and waste stream policies and procedures
• Ensure adherence to work instructions and product acceptance criteria
• Inspect processes, products, and equipment to meet or exceed Safety and Quality KPIs
• Verify equipment and tools are maintained and in proper working condition
• Plan and monitor workflow to achieve production goals on time, in full, and within quality specifications
• Review upcoming production schedules to prepare accordingly
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and take action to optimize results
• Lead and participate in collaborative continuous improvement activities
• Direct 6S improvement initiatives within the department
• Perform other duties as assigned
Administration & Reporting
• Complete daily supervisor reports and audit checklists
• Ensure accurate production reporting, scrap, and barrel management systems
• Collaborate with other Supervisors, Manager, and departments to maintain healthy and effective communication across shifts
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
• Proven leadership and team building experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong focus on Safety, Quality, Productivity, & People
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Mechanically inclined and able to read a tape measure and basic technical drawings
• Able to work and lead with minimal supervision
• Comfortable using computers for data entry, timesheet reconciliation, email, and KPI tracking
• Ability to properly prioritize and pay close attention to details
Physical Work Conditions
Hands-on leadership role located on the production floor, standing for up to 12 hours a day. Work with or around power tools, loud equipment and chemicals. Lift up to 50 pounds.
