Job description

Job Title: Project Manager III
Job Description

This position involves managing electric capital projects aimed at improving system reliability, increasing capacity, and reducing wildfire risk. Projects include transmission, distribution, substation upgrades, large customer loads, and LGIA projects. The Project Manager III is responsible for overseeing scope, schedule, and budget for projects or portfolios of moderate risk and financial impact, often requiring coordination with multiple agencies, private partners, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate projects by securing stakeholder alignment and leading cross-functional teams to define timelines, methods, and resource allocation.
  • Develop statements of work, bid documents, and cost estimates.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycleโ€”from initiation through executionโ€”ensuring delivery of scope, cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Drive project plans, milestones, communication, team direction, and change management.
  • Prepare documentation, status reports, and budgets.
  • Utilize strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Essential Skills
  • 6-10+ years of Construction Project Management experience.
  • 3-5+ years of electric utility experience in transmission, distribution, substations, generation, or related utility operations.
  • Experience managing capital budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Work Environment

The role offers a hybrid work environment at the Bothell site. It provides an exceptional opportunity to join a highly reputable energy and utilities company. The position includes PTO (5 days) and Holiday Pay (12 holidays) during the contract. The contract is for 24 months with potential for conversion.

Pay and Benefits
