PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a Project Manager II in PAR Electrical’s Central Region is responsible for leading the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of medium to large-scale electrical utility projects. This position oversees all aspects of project execution—from planning and scheduling to cost management and client relations—ensuring alignment with PAR’s operational standards and safety-first culture.

As a key member of the Central Division’s leadership team, the Project Manager II plays a critical role in supporting field operations, strengthening customer relationships, and driving performance excellence across multiple projects.


  • Manage the full lifecycle of assigned electrical transmission, distribution, or substation projects within the Central Division.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure efficient execution.

  • Lead project meetings and coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to achieve project goals.

  • Track and forecast project costs, labor productivity, and material usage to ensure profitability and budget compliance.

  • Oversee project documentation including RFIs, change orders, submittals, and closeout materials.

  • Ensure strict adherence to PAR Electrical’s safety policies, quality standards, and environmental regulations.

  • Monitor field performance, identify potential risks, and implement corrective action as needed.

  • Prepare progress reports and financial updates for leadership and clients.

  • Support bid preparation, estimates, and business development activities as requested.

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement across all project stakeholders.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive project management experience within the electrical utility or heavy civil construction industry.

  • Strong understanding of transmission, distribution, or substation construction methods and field operations.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and financial goals.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to build lasting client and team relationships.

  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Des Moines, IA metro area.

  • PMP certification required within 60 days of hire.
