 What’s The Job? 

Title: Utility Operator

Location: Eddyville, IA  
Salary: up to $21/hr (DOE) 
Hours: Shift Schedule

Week 1- Wed/Thurs/Fri 6pm-6am

Week 2- Mon/Tues/Sat/Sun 6pm-6am

What Will I Be Doing?  

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily: 

  • Employee must be able to work with personnel in a team-oriented and safety conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures. 

  • Operates equipment such as the forklift truck, cart, hand truck, and other material handling equipment. 

  • Check, inspect and document all equipment and products for damage and shortages before processing. 

  • Record product name, the product number, package type, and number of pounds reprocessed daily. 

  • Report to supervisor any discrepancies noted immediately and record.  

  • Accurate administrative duties to include, review and documentation of all procedures. 

  • Ensure all products are placed in the correct location 

  • Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures. 

  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning. 

  • Communications with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assist of the company’s goals and objectives 

  • Meet physical requirements of the job. Physical requirements of the job will be provided to you prior to employment. 

  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner. 

  • Must maintain positive customer and employee relations. 

  • Other duties as assigned by appropriate supervisor

  • Education: Possess a high school degree or an approved GED.  

  • Experience: Warehouse experience preferred, not required.    

  • Driver’s License

  • Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools  

  • Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment  

  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner   

  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties 

  • Communication/ Expression —The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.  

  • Information Ordering — The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
