Job description

We are seeking an experienced, licensed, and skilled Utility Foreman to join our team based in Douglasville, GA. The ideal candidate will oversee utility construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires active licenses necessary for utility work, strong leadership skills, and the ability to travel when required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of utility crews, including installation, maintenance, and repair of water, sewer, and stormwater systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, project specifications, and local codes.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues, collaborating with engineers and project managers.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks.
  • Travel to various job sites as needed, with flexibility for overnight or extended stays.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Utility Foreman or similar role in utility construction.
  • Possession of a active Utility Foreman license, and GSWCC Blue card.
  • Strong knowledge of utility systems, including water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage crews and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel as needed.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment.
  • Experienced heavy machinery operator.

Preferred Skills

  • OSHA certifications including 30 Hour Construction Safety, Confined Space Entry, and Excavation.
  • Familiarity with local Georgia regulations and permitting processes.
