Food Service Utility Driver

Lincoln Park Public Schools, 1650 Champaign, Lincoln Park, Michigan 48146

Position: Food Service Utility Driver High School And any positions that result from the filling of this posting

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Able to pass a physical examination
  • Have a good driving record
  • Have a State of Michigan Chauffeur's License prior to employment or ability to obtain
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

Duties:

  • Transport, load and unload food and non-food items between the central kitchen and satellite schools
  • Perform a pre-trip vehicle inspection and report of needed vehicle repairs
  • Organize delivery in freezer, cooler & dry storage
  • Assist in cleaning and storing equipment and food supplies
  • Adhere to FIFO and health department rules and regulations
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner with fellow employees, building staff and students
  • Follow the work schedule assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Responsible To: Director of Food Services and/or designee

Work Schedule: Six (6) hours per day at the regular school schedule plus one (1) week before and (1) week after

Salary: According to AFSCME, Local 849 Master Agreement Cafeteria Salary Schedule
