Job description

Purpose: Utility Assistance Coordinator's assist individuals seeking utility assistance through income-based programs.


Essential Functions:

  • Enter and process utility assistance applications, scan and upload required documentation, and screen for income eligibility using multiple databases simultaneously.
  • Engage with individuals via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Refer individuals to other assistance programs that can provide services which address barriers to housing security.
  • Network, participate, and attend related meetings within Tri County Community Action and with other relevant agencies.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual a plus
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to utilize the internet, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, including crisis/conflict management.
  • State Police, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Motor Vehicle Driving clearances.
