Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Shop Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of aerial bucket trucks and heavy-duty equipment. This role is primarily shop-based, with occasional field service work as needed. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, a safety-first mindset, and takes pride in producing quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on aerial bucket trucks and heavy-duty vehicles

  • Complete preventative maintenance and inspections

  • Support field service repairs when required

  • Ensure all work is completed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in mechanical repair (heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive)

  • Experience with diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment preferred

  • Aerial bucket truck experience strongly preferred

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues independently

  • Must have own basic tools

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude

  • Valid CDL (Class B minimum; Class A preferred)

  • Current DOT Medical Card

  • Ability to assist with field repairs when needed
