We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Manager to join our team at K&A Power Group in Oakbrook, IL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. You'll be part of a dynamic, people-focused team where your expertise, ideas, and contributions will be valued and celebrated.
Role Expectations:
  • Create new customer accounts and establish new work orders (WOs) from scratch in AS8 and related systems.
  • Manage all PMOC - related administrative and operational tasks distinct from engineering design work.
  • Ensure accurate setup of project data, documentation, and workflow routing.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface for project initiation and ongoing updates.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of design packages, estimates, and technical inputs.
  • Facilitate communication between engineering, construction, customer operations, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track engineering milestones and escalate delays or risks proactively.
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables align with ComEd standards, policies, and schedules.
  • Manage ComEd - approved contract and pricing administration for all assigned projects.
  • Support financial controls, budget tracking, and cost validation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, forecasts, and project status updates.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial governance requirements and audit standards.
  • Act as the single point of accountability from project initiation through closeout.
  • Maintain project schedules, track progress, and ensure predictable delivery.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve issues that may impact scope, schedule, or cost.
  • Coordinate internal alignment across customer operations, engineering, construction, finance, and leadership.
  • Oversee project closeout activities, ensuring all documentation, financials, and customer deliverables are complete.

What we're looking for:
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, utility operations, customer operations, or engineering coordination.
  • Strong understanding of utility work order systems (AS8 or similar).
  • Experience managing cross - functional projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage high project volumes.
  • Strong communication and problem - solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and coordinate with engineering teams.
  • Experience with electric utility new business processes (DIVVY/CIPA or similar).
  • Familiarity with ComEd systems, policies, and financial controls.
  • Background in utility operations, construction coordination, or technical project delivery.
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar certification.

Pay Range $125-150K/year
