Job description

UT Physicians Multispecialty - Victory is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary care to both adult and pediatric patients in a fastpaced, highvolume outpatient clinic. In this role, you will conduct assessments, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, coordinate care plans, and collaborate closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team. Working within an academic health system, you'll utilize Epic EMR with integrated ambient/DAX tools to streamline documentation while delivering highquality, patientcentered care to the diverse Greater Houston community. The NP will work standard weekday business hours (Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts such as 8:00-5:00 or 9:00-6:00), with phoneonly night and weekend oncall duties performed from home on a rotating schedule of two weeks per month.

Position Summary:
Provides advanced nursing care to patients in a clinical setting in an area of specialization under the direction of a physician.
Position Key Accountabilities:
  • Performs relevant patient assessments and physical examinations.
  • Coordinates, directs, and implements patient 's plan of care.
  • Orders, conducts, and interprets pertinent laboratory and diagnostic studies and procedures.
  • Makes medical recommendations and/or referrals.
  • Formulates, implements, and evaluates an outcome-based treatment plan.
  • Maintains appropriate records detailing the patient 's treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Facilitates patient education relating to medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, other clinicians, and referral services to assist in the patient 's recovery.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
  • None
  • Registered Nurse (RN) State Licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) by Texas Board of Nursing (BON) required
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Nurse Practitioner (APRN-NP) by Texas Board of Nursing (BON) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Clinical specialty certification determined by the department required

Minimum Education:
Master's Degree in Nursing as NP required Master's Degree in Nursing with completion of a post-masters Nurse Practitioner Certification Program required
Minimum Experience:
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) experience would be beneficial.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094. To the extent that a position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Texas Business and Commerce Code §117.001(2), the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired for and to continue to be employed in that position. Personnel in such positions, and similarly situated state contractors, will be routinely reviewed to determine whether things such as criminal history or continuous connections to the government or political apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent the applicant, employee, or contractor from being able to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure.
