Job description

United Support Services, Inc., founded in 2003, is an innovative engineering and technology business headquartered in San Diego, CA. We have an exciting new opportunity and are currently looking to add an Administrative Assistant to our berthing and maintenance team, supporting the Hampton Roads, VA area. USS offers excellent benefits, and Veterans are highly encouraged to apply!


Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Program Manager and Supervisors with internal administrative functions, including verification of employee payroll and data entry
Process training management requirements and verify employee security access
Screen telephone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner
Assist with planning and coordinating new employee orientation meetings
Compile materials, maintain employee database records, and organize administrative documentation
Prioritize and batch materials for data entry and reporting purposes
Complete information analysis for procedures, reports, and administrative processes
Serve as the primary interface and point of contact for Government program authorities regarding technical and program/project issues
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information and records
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director


Experience:

Messing & Berthing Barge Experience preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant administrative experience required
Experience with office and administrative functions in industrial maintenance and/or military aviation maintenance environments preferred


Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Drivers License required

Security Clearance required

Vocational training commensurate with Department of Labor functional description preferred

Proficient in basic word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs

Strong customer service and communication skills required
Knowledge of naval technical material and the ability to train and supervise others preferred
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance if required by the position
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
