Job Description:

Join Pitney Bowes as a CDL A Truck Driver, 2nd Shift in Hartford, Connecticut at the Presort facility.

Your hourly pay will be $29.50, paid weekly with the opportunity for possible overtime.

Your 2nd Shift schedule will be Monday through Friday.

Your start time varies from 7:30AM to 2:00PM EST. You must be flexible for occasional overtime and weekends if needed.

What You Will Do:

  • Inspect assigned vehicles per the Pitney Bowes Presort Services pre-trip inspection guidelines and procedures daily. Report any defective findings to the Transportation Supervisor to be for repairs immediately.
  • Maintain a daily driver's log or route sheet for mileage, stops and cargo, or utilization of ELD system.
  • Maintain pickup and delivery schedules meeting deadlines utilizing software tools.
  • Keep vehicles and work areas clean.
  • Returns client damaged or undeliverable mail, following internal handling procedures for damaged secured mail.
  • Know and understand safety, security precautions and follow company policies.
  • Maintains regular attendance
  • Use all required cell phone applications.

You Will Bring:

  • Minimum of 21 years in age
  • Valid Class A License and meet applicable DOT requirements for CDL.
  • Minimum of 6 months' verifiable driving experience driving a tractor trailer (semi) truck with safe driving record
  • Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend with or without accommodation.
  • Must have the ability to work mandatory overtime that may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice.

For completing this work, Presort Services receives discounted postage rates. By performing this sorting work on behalf of our clients, weare able toshare a portion of that discount with them. Our national network of operating centers processes over 17 billion pieces of mail annually. We provide mailers with end-to-end solutions from pick-up at their location into delivery into the postal system network, providing optimal postage savings.
