Job description

Human Resources is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-time Physical Therapist II for the Medical Services Department. The Physical Therapist II must hold a current Physical Therapy license in the State of California.
The Physical Therapist II plans, coordinates, and provides physical therapy treatment at Patton State Hospital in collaboration with a Medical Doctor, Psychiatrist, and/or Wellness Recovery Team leader. As a supervisory-level classification, the Physical II may oversee the Physical Therapy Program and supervise the activities of Physical Therapist I staff, Physical Therapy Assistants, and Occupational Therapists within the Medical Services Physical Therapy area.

Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
