Mailing Operations Manager


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mailing Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end production, sorting, and fulfillment of high-volume client mailings at our manufacturing facility. This role combines hands-on management of mechanical production processes with strategic oversight of mailing logistics, postage estimation, and compliance with USPS regulations. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient workflow, maximize postal discounts through strategic program management, and collaborate closely with sales and production teams to meet client expectations and operational goals.


Key Responsibilities


  • Production Workflow Management: Direct daily mail production schedules, monitor project statuses, and coordinate with Data Processing, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Supervision: Oversee the maintenance and operation of mailing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Sorting and Fulfillment Oversight: Manage the sorting process to ensure accuracy and compliance with USPS standards, and oversee the fulfillment of mailings to meet client specifications.
  • Postage Estimation and Cost Optimization: Calculate postage requirements accurately, identify opportunities for postal discounts, and implement strategies to maximize cost savings.
  • USPS Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all mailing activities adhere to USPS regulations and industry best practices, maintaining compliance and avoiding penalties.
