OF VACANCIES: One (1) or more AGENCY: Office of Tax and Revenue DURATION OF APPOINTMENT: Permanent (Applicants that applied to 26-AD-OTR-0028 need not reapply) COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT: This position is in a collective bargaining unit. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), Returns Processing Administration (RPA).
The incumbent is responsible for processing print jobs (i.e. tax notices and bills) through the various stages of the in-house printing process; as well as assisting Returns Processing Technicians with other tax return-related processing. Duties include, but are not limited to: serving as the print shop's Subject Matter Expert, overseeing daily production operations, equipment performance, workflow distribution, and quality assurance; providing guidance to junior staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with IRS Pub 1075, and supporting process improvement and reporting activities; assisting with mail operations, preparing USPS documentation, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring efficient, accurate, and secure print shop outputs
Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of progressive experience in a print shop, production, or high-volume mail processing environment, including operating print or production equipment; assisting with workflow or process improvements, preparing production or operational reports and troubleshooting production issues or performing basic equipment maintenance. Specialized Experience Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.
