Job description

Duties * Provides guidance on Military Postal Service operations, policies, transportation networks, manpower, and budget programs to ensure mission effectiveness and compliance with DoD and USPS regulations. * Oversees daily administrative and operational functions of the Military Postal Service Agency, including personnel management, staff actions, and program execution. * Analyzes military postal programs, policies, and transportation operations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with established regulations. * Coordinates with DoD, USPS, and other government agencies to resolve operational issues and implement military postal policy changes. * Supervises personnel across headquarters and satellite locations, including performance management, training, awards, staffing, and disciplinary actions. Requirements Conditions of employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. * One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement. * Occasional travel may be required. * This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing. * Position is designated as Emergency Essential (EE) to support the Command's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension and mobilization.
