GU Tech ILT Specialist - Compliance in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
These positions are with Gulfstream University at the Technical Training Center (TTC) and will be supporting Compliance, Structures and Avionics training. Candidates with experience in any of these areas are encouraged to apply.
Highly Preferred:
Repair Station, Completions operations, Manufacturing or Military experience related to aviation/aerospace.
Knowledgeable in Safety Regulations, Aircraft Maintenance or Production documentation softwares, and Learning Management Systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and virtual training experience.
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 6 years experience in aviation industry. preferred. 1 year training experience.
Position Purpose:
Under limited supervision, facilitate technical, regulatory, or manufacturing training curriculum. May be involved in course design and existing course enhancements in conjunction with Sr. Technical Trainer or Instructional Designer. Supports training at all GAC facilities as required.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
  1. Conduct classroom and practical training to support Manufacturing and Repair Stations in the build, maintenance, and repair of Gulfstream aircraft. To include structures, avionics, composites, torque, Click Bond, Permaswage, regulatory and safety training required. for compliance with FAA, EASA, CAAC, OSHA, EPA, etc. as well as computer software training as requested at all GAC facilities.
  2. Ensure all necessary training materials (course outlines, lesson plans, books, handouts, presentations, CBTs) meet training objectives while maintaining established departmental, company, and training provider standards. .
  3. Identify, research, and verify technical accuracy of information required. for training course development. Monitor all applicable information sources to determine required. changes to current training programs.
  4. Interface with other members of the department to ensure comprehensive and timely responses to training issues. Coordinates training functions with manager of training.
  5. Interface with departments to assure that training department is knowledgeable of product changes or modifications and incorporates them into new or existing training programs. Acts as internal consultant to GAC clients on training issues, work process issues, and development issues in coordination with HRBP. Visits departments on a periodic basis to promote understanding, cooperation, and ensure training requirements are being met.
  6. Update training records accordingly to company and training provider standards.
  7. Solicit, promote, and exhibit a spirit of teamwork.

Additional Functions:
  1. Ensures equipment is functioning properly and training facilities are maintained in an orderly and professional manner. .
  2. Promote and ensure a safe training environment. .
  3. Cross-train to teach other courses on an as needed basis. .

Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
  1. Must demonstrate excellent presentation skills and ability to effectively deliver course material.
  2. Must exhibit good organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and team building skills.
  3. Skilled user of MS Office products.
  4. Ability to conduct training for all shifts and facilities.
  5. Ability to maintain control in a classroom environment and diffuse difficult situations when necessary.
  6. Travel required.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
