We're taking Pet Food to the Moon at maxbone: Sr. Manager, DTC Growth
Are you ready to elevate the world of pet essentials, fashion, and nutrition? maxbone, part of the Wag! Group Co., is on the hunt for a trendsetting yet revenue chasing Direct-to-Consumer Sr. Manager to spearhead the digital growth of our brand, with a special focus on our pet food vertical, Superfoods for Super Dogs. What You Will Do
As the DTC Sr. Manager, you'll be the cornerstone of our digital revenue efforts for maxbone. You'll take a fresh look at our Direct-to-Consumer channels, and transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. While overseeing our online storefront and Amazon presence, you'll focus on strategically evolving and supercharging maxbone's pet food orders and subscriptions. Think of our digital ecosystem as your canvas where architecture, marketing funnels, and excellence converge. We're searching for someone who sees Shopify and Klaviyo as essential components of the brand.
Direct-to-Consumer (DTC):
  • Own the end-to-end pet food subscription funnel (trial/recurring/retention)
  • Cultivate and articulate a visionary eCommerce roadmap and strategy, aligning digital initiatives with our brand's profitability.
  • Champion the Shopify ecosystem for maxbone, serving as the architect of UI/UX innovations and conversion rate triumphs.
  • Partner closely with the CRM & Retention Manager on email and SMS strategy (Klaviyo/Attentive), serving as a key collaborator and strategic resource to help drive exceptional lifecycle outcomes, while the CRM & Retention Manager owns execution and channel performance.
  • Align with the CRM & Retention Manager and Brand team on creative direction and messaging to ensure cohesion across the subscription funnel and brand standards.
  • Direct performance marketing, paid media (Google, Meta) and SEO initiatives, optimizing for ROAS and CAC.
  • Lead growth initiatives like loyalty, bundles and upsells.
  • Master website analytics, refining performance metrics and delighting in customer insights with tools.
  • Fortify and adapt eCommerce technology infrastructure to empower strategic missions.
  • Engage with customer sentiments, reviews, and feedback, continually enhancing the consumer experience.
  • Innovate and launch high-impact initiatives, from subscriptions to loyalty programs and product bundles.

Brand & Supply Partnerships:
  • Drive go-to-market strategies for a portfolio of products, including campaigns, promotions, and site experience across maxbone's storefront and partner-owned sites and assets.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities that expand maxbone's assortment and brand equity in pet fashion, accessory, nutrition and wellness.
  • Continuously assess existing assortment performance, identify opportunities to accelerate revenue and profit growth, and own decisions around assortment modifications, removals, and additions.
  • Manage product launch timing and communication with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment on creative, merchandising, and operational readiness.

Amazon Channel Management:
  • Oversee Amazon Seller Central strategy and performance, leading the marketplace manager to execute day-to-day operations and optimization.
  • Set and surpass channel specific revenue targets, fueled by sales forecasts and KPIs.
  • Scout market dynamics and shopper passions; analyze demographic, consumer lifestyle, and competitor data to identify opportunities and create strategic differentiation.
  • Optimize Amazon listings, pages, and content for peak conversions, collaborating with Marketing on captivating creative assets.
  • Implement strategic keywords, elevate SEO, and update content to soar in organic rankings.
  • Manage Paid Media campaigns, ensuring ROI and brand allure.
  • Conduct Amazon-centric experiments, such as A/B testing, to refine content, listings, and advertising blueprints.
  • Recommend additional channels beyond Amazon, i.e. Chewy or others.

General eCommerce Oversight:
  • Develop efficient, user-friendly systems for seamless order fulfillment and customer joy.
  • Illuminate eCommerce performance metrics, sharing comprehensive insights and inspiring actionable strategies with leadership.
  • Stay on the pulse of emerging eCommerce trends and trailblazing technologies to sustain our brands' competitive edge and innovation.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of eCommerce Direct-to-consumer experience, with a flair for specialty food, pet or outdoor industries.
  • High school diploma is essential; a college degree is preferred.
  • Mastery of Shopify, Recharge, Klaviyo, Amazon Seller Central, and dynamic eCommerce platforms.
  • A great understanding of subscription economics (LTV, CAC, churn, AOV optimization, cohort analysis, and more).
  • An analytical mindset with a track record of translating data insights into strategy.
  • Strong understanding of paid media strategy across Google, Meta, and Amazon, with a focus on driving subscription acquisition and LTV efficiency.
  • Experience collaborating with brand and supply partners, with a track record of successful product launches across DTC channels.
  • A competitive streak to exceed revenue targets.
  • Coding literacy is a plus, though not mandatory.
  • Ability to work from our Miami, FL location.
