Job Title: UI/UX Designer (Jr)
Location: Burr Ridge, IL
Position Summary:
The UI/UX Designer creates user interfaces (UI) for CNH Displays and Instrument Clusters, including the definition and documentation of the user interactions (UX). The UI/UX designer also has to effectively communicate with Marketing, System Engineering and Platform Engineering in order to receive stakeholder approval. The UI/UX completes the process by delivering well organized assets and UI specifications into our collaboration tools.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Read, analyze and understand the function to be designed.
• Decide how to integrate the design consistently into our current (and future) CNH product-lines.
• Define workflows, either via mockups or interactions.
• Design final UI screens.
• Design icons.
• Document detailed interactions covering all the use cases with screenshots.
• Follow CNH Industrial processes of gaining UI/UX approvals.
• Make final adjustments and communicate it to the engineers involved.
• Prepare and deliver assets to the software teams.
• Prepare specification of all the provided screens.
• Support the development team during the software development process.
• Gather screenshots from the software engineers and provide feedback.
• Request adjustments, if needed, in order for the implemented UI to match the original mockups.
Skill Set
The qualified candidate will have: • Bachelor degree in Graphic / Web Design or related field. • Minimum 1 year professional experience. • Minimum 1 year experience using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. • Experience with prototyping / mockup tools. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in mobile or tablet UI/UX design. • Experience in HMI (Human Machine Interaction) • Experience in Automotive Display and Instrument Cluster design. • Experience using the Axure RP, InVision, or Balsamiq prototyping tools. • Experience with Agricultural, Construction, or Truck/Bus products. • Experience using Collaboration tools, especially Microsoft Sharepoint. • Experience using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), especially Polarion. • Experience using Configuration Management tools, especially Git and SparkleShare. • Knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, PHP. • Experience using Dreamweaver. • Experience with App Software development in Android and/or iOS. • Experience using Agile (Scrum) development processes.
