Position Summary
J. J. Keller is seeking a Product Leader who will be responsible for the strategy, development, launch, and lifecycle management of J. J. Keller's compliance product and service offerings. This role partners with customers and cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, define product roadmaps, and deliver solutions that address business and compliance challenges.
The Product Leader leverages customer insights, industry knowledge, and market trends to drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure successful product delivery. This position requires a strategic, customer-focused leader who can influence stakeholders, prioritize initiatives, and bring innovative solutions to market.
Job Responsibilities
  • Delivers results in line with the following key metrics/accountabilities:
    • New service launch objectives
    • Customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention targets
    • New service revenue and growth targets
    • Overall business line revenue and growth targets
    • Budget control
  • Oversees product development and monitors trends that indicate the need for new/enhanced products and services.
  • Participates in customer/market needs analysis and manages the existing assigned line by delivering product enhancements that address those needs.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders on the creation of a product roadmap for all product and services within the assigned line.
  • Develops and manages processes that transform business requirements into detailed product/service requirements and leads cross functional teams in product definition and design.
  • Leads the successful launch of assigned product/service offerings (new development, life cycle management of current offerings and applicable back-office systems).
  • Partners with the Development team throughout the development cycle including grooming and prioritization processes to ensure a high quality, on-time delivery of features and functions that meet customer / market expectations.
  • Develops pricing strategies to maximize market share and maintain profitability. In some areas, pricing strategies are a collaborative effort with Marketing and Portfolio Management.
  • Represents J. J. Keller at industry and market events to educate, inform and garner feedback on assigned products and services.
  • Participates in establishing and managing the Customer Loyalty Index for the assigned line of products and services, and collaborates on product plans and strategies based on periodic survey results.
  • Manages expenses in line with departmental budgets and corporate business conditions.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of the regulatory space to define solutions that achieve compliance, to include understanding the ways in which our customers address compliance and the business processes that they use to complete the work.

Qualifications
Experience
  • 4+ years in a product design, product manager, or project management role, preferably for a commercialized customer-facing offering.
  • Prior experience working with business software applications, preferably including business-to-business websites and back-office systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing requirements for business software applications, including business-to-business websites and back-office systems.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role strongly preferred.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required in Marketing, Business or a Technology field.
  • In lieu of degree, may consider an additional 4 years of experience in a product management or project management role.

Technology Skills
  • Demonstrated experience with designing or managing the functionality of client-facing portals.
  • Demonstrated experience with the integration of business systems (i.e. back-office systems and client-facing portals) and how integration impacts the user experience (i.e. data integrity, etc.)

Other Skills/Qualifications
  • Ability to develop and implement growth plans and programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to break down deliverables into specific development activities and to accurately estimate delivery dates and project costs. Understanding of product management processes and methodologies.
  • Solution and team oriented, with the ability to lead and influence others.
  • Ability to work with diverse, cross-functional teams throughout the organization. Knowledge of complex Sales processes related to technology-based products or services. Ability to recognize sales channel capabilities and package products accordingly.

Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices or customer sites may also be required, depending on assignment.
