Job description

Job Title: QA Automation Contractor Location: [Remote/Hybrid - Omaha, NE] Contract Duration: 3 months with potential to extend Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated QA Automation Contractor to join our engineering team during a critical phase of product development. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and user experience of our enterprise software platform. As a contractor, you will immediately integrate into our active sprint cycles. You will be responsible for setting up a test automation framework from scratch, integrating automated test suites into DevOps platforms, managing regression suites, Api validation, executing test cases, identifying and documenting software defects, and collaborating closely with developers and product managers to ensure a seamless, high-quality release. Key Responsibilities • Build Automation Test: Build automated test scripts using PlayWright, Selenium, Browser Stack lowcode automation, maintain and execute existing automated test scripts and analyze the results. • Test Execution & Analysis: Learn our products ecosystem to plan, write, and execute comprehensive test cases (functional, regression, integration, and system testing). • Defect Tracking: Identify, isolate, and thoroughly document software bugs in FreshService and Azure DevOps with clear, reproducible steps, logs, and video/screenshot evidence. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to understand feature requirements, clarify edge cases, and validate bug fixes. • Environment Validation: Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing (iOS, Android, Web) to ensure a consistent user experience. • Release Support: Participate in active Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and provide final sign-offs for scheduled production deployments. Required Skills & Qualifications • Experience: Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience in software Quality Assurance, building automation test suite for .Net web applications. • Methodologies: Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and the STLC (Software Test Life Cycle) under Agile frameworks. • Experience with building automated test suites with Pyramid principles is preferred. • Tools: Hands on experience in building automated test framework using PlayWright / Selenium is required. • Tools of the Trade: • Bug Tracking: Expertise in FreshService and AzureDevOps • API Testing: Proficient in using Postman to test backend endpoints. • Database: Strong background in database load testing, with the ability to perform complex SQL-based data validation on Azure SQL • Automation Tools: Expertise in BrowserStack Lowcode, Selenium, PlayWright and ADA testing • Pipeline: Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline • Performance Testing: Experience with performance or load testing tools JMeter • Scripting: Hands on experience with Python Scripting • Adaptability: Proven ability to onboard rapidly with minimal supervision and immediately begin contributing to a codebase or product line. • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to describe complex technical flaws in a clear, concise manner.
