UX Researcher
Location: Open to Pensacola, Florida, Vienna, VA, or San Diego, CA (Hybrid)
Role Overview
This position assists in the planning, leadership, and formulation of user-centered design strategies and solutions. You will work to create exceptional experiences by using insights gathered from research projects, psychology, and user experience (UX) best practices. This role involves working cross-functionally to conduct research, perform analysis, and uncover opportunities for innovative solutions that deliver value.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act in a consultative role to design and product teams to identify research topics and plan initiatives.
  • Identify and analyze the user experience by leading projects end-to-end, including developing guides, moderating, analyzing, and delivering results.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of experience and journey maps.
  • Gather, analyze, and create user stories that capture user needs.
  • Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative methods and a subset of quantitative methods.
  • Communicate and present findings in compelling ways, tailored to the audience.
  • Package insights into tools and assets such as personas, design principles, and scenarios.
  • Support project teams in transforming research findings into innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to champion a user-centric approach.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in user experience, market, or consumer research, project management, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of multiple research methodologies, including usability studies, ethnography, contextual interviews, and journey mapping.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects with minimal direction.
  • Experience using third-party UX research platforms to recruit participants and conduct studies.
  • Experience with quantitative market research methods and behavioral analysis.
  • Experience creating research deliverables such as frameworks, videos, and toplines.
  • Working knowledge of financial industry best practices, products, and services.
  • Experience working and communicating with all levels of employees, management, and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and principles.
  • Proficient word processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A background in related fields such as technology, product development, or design.
  • Experience with design thinking.
  • Master's Degree in Human Factors, Social Science, Strategy, Market Research, Psychology, Information Technology, Design, Cognitive Science, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
