Non working days: June 19 & July 3
Salary:
Range $27.06 - $27.89 per hour
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in management of Food Service staff including:
    • Supervision of kitchen operation/prep/cooking for both breakfast and lunch
    • Scheduling workers
    • Record keeping skills, ordering, and daily accounting
    • Monitoring compliance with USDA, ISD#271, and City of Bloomington Health guidelines
    • Resourceful innovative approach to problem solving
  • Computer literacy with ability to learn the District's electronic food payment system
  • Demonstrated human relations skills and customer service in interacting with principal's, staff, students, and public
  • Demonstrated willingness to work with students of various social, economic, and culturally diverse backgrounds
  • Interest in working with students and parent groups
  • Professional interest and support of the MN School Food Service Association certification, classes, and workshops
  • Performs heavy cleaning and inventory of building food service area and equipment at the close of the school year

Essential Functions:
  • Lifting up to 38 pounds
  • Lifting and twisting to accommodate moving food pans and dish racks in the dishroom area
  • Repetitive motion often required
  • Able to work on feet up to 3 hours
  • Working in a noisy environment
  • Be visually alert to student conduct and potential hazards

Qualifications:
  • Food Service experience
  • Experience working with children
  • SNA Certification Level IV preferred
  • Food Manager Certificate (within first 30 days)
