About the Opportunity

Seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability, production operations, and facility maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, preventive maintenance experience, and the ability to minimize downtime while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and packaging equipment.

  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and steam system issues.

  • Maintain and service pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and related production equipment.

  • Support equipment changeovers, startups, shutdowns, assembly, and disassembly activities.

  • Troubleshoot equipment utilizing PLC and HMI-controlled systems.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals.

  • Monitor equipment performance and document repairs, downtime events, and maintenance activities.

  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed.

  • Assist with operator training and support cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Operations.

  • Ensure compliance with GMP, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), food safety, and workplace safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Experience with:

  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

  • Electric motors and controls

  • PLCs and HMIs

  • Pneumatic systems and components

  • Pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors

  • Preventive maintenance programs

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food, beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA, USDA, and food safety requirements.

  • Experience with steam systems and utility equipment.

  • Forklift, pallet jack, or scissor lift operation experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical maintenance activities throughout the shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
