About the Opportunity
Seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability, production operations, and facility maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, preventive maintenance experience, and the ability to minimize downtime while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and packaging equipment.
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and steam system issues.
Maintain and service pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and related production equipment.
Support equipment changeovers, startups, shutdowns, assembly, and disassembly activities.
Troubleshoot equipment utilizing PLC and HMI-controlled systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
Monitor equipment performance and document repairs, downtime events, and maintenance activities.
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed.
Assist with operator training and support cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Operations.
Ensure compliance with GMP, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), food safety, and workplace safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Experience with:
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Electric motors and controls
PLCs and HMIs
Pneumatic systems and components
Pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors
Preventive maintenance programs
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food, beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or regulated manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of GMP, FDA, USDA, and food safety requirements.
Experience with steam systems and utility equipment.
Forklift, pallet jack, or scissor lift operation experience.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical maintenance activities throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
