Summary of role:
We are seeking a Student Ambassador for our Avila University Arizona (AUA) campus, located in Goodyear, Arizona. The Student Ambassador plays a key role in enhancing the graduate student experience at AUA. Serving as a bridge between students and campus leadership, ambassadors promote university programs, events, and services while fostering a welcoming and engaged campus community.
Student Ambassadors support both on-campus and virtual initiatives, assist with event execution, and help amplify student voices by sharing feedback, ideas, and insights from the student body.
Campus Engagement & Promotion
  • Promote campus programs, events, and student services through in-person outreach and digital tools.
  • Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact for current and prospective students.
  • Share general campus information, resources, and opportunities to help students navigate their graduate journey.

Event & Program Support
  • Assist with the planning and execution of campus events, including open houses, residencies, webinars, and student workshops.
  • Support event logistics before, during, and after programs (set-up, check-in, engagement activities, and clean-up).
  • Help create a welcoming and engaging environment for all attendees.

Content Creation & Communication
  • Collaborate with campus leadership to develop materials, social media content, and event visuals.
  • Contribute ideas for student programming based on peer feedback and emerging student needs.
  • Assist in creating flyers, presentations, and digital communications (reviewed for accuracy by staff).

Student Connection & Feedback
  • Build relationships with fellow students to understand their experiences and needs.
  • Share student feedback, ideas, and trends with campus leadership to support continuous improvement.
  • Help connect students to campus staff, services, and external resources when needed.

Community Engagement & Professional Development
  • Represent Avila University Arizona at select community events and networking opportunities in the West Valley.
  • Participate in partnerships with local organizations and nonprofits to expand student opportunities.
  • Gain professional experience through networking, communication, and leadership development.

What Student Ambassadors Do NOT Do
  • Do not have access to confidential student records or sensitive information.
  • Do not provide academic advising, immigration guidance, or counseling services.
  • Do not represent themselves as university officials or make policy decisions.
  • Focus on peer engagement, general information sharing, and program support only.
