We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our growing maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and optimizing manufacturing equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and production uptime.


The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex mechanical and electrical problems, works well in a collaborative manufacturing environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work that supports continuous improvement. Success in this role looks like:

Pay: $27.00-$34.00 per hour, based on experience.


This is a permanent, full-time, non-exempt position. Kocher + Beck USA operates three shifts, Monday through Friday:

  • 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • 2nd shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (includes $1.50/hour shift differential)
  • 3rd shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday (includes $2.80/hour shift differential)

All shifts are 40 hours per week. Saturday work may be required based on equipment and business needs.

Requirements

Essential Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation equipment failures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and equipment testing to maximize reliability.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, AC/DC circuits, motor controls, sensors, drives, and automation systems.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Install, commission, and optimize new production equipment and manufacturing systems.
  • Use precision diagnostic equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, micrometers, and related tools.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Partner with Production and Engineering to identify root causes and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash, and company safety policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
  • 2-5 years of industrial maintenance or electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, AC/DC circuits, motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work standing, kneeling, climbing, or at heights when required.

Preferred

  • Experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems.
  • Experience using a CMMS.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, or servo systems.
  • Industrial maintenance certification, journeyman electrician license, or mechatronics training.
