Job Description:
Advanced Practice Providers serve in a primary covering provider role within a 16-bed acuity-adaptable Pediatric Cardiac Care Center. The role involves managing patients with congenital heart disease, including complex anatomy and physiology, and caring for a wide range of high-acuity patients in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage pre- and post-operative pediatric cardiac surgical patients, high-risk single ventricle physiology, and open chest management.
  • Perform arrhythmia management, vasopressor support, and manage external and internal pacemakers.
  • Coordinate care involving VA/VV ECMO and CRRT.
  • Provide care for adult congenital heart disease patients requiring medical or post-operative management.
  • Collaborate in a dynamic critical care setting with multidisciplinary team members.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU as an Advanced Practice Provider.
  • Knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  • Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner and active New York State Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses in good standing.
  • Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • BLS from AHA and PALS from ABA certifications.
