Job description

Hiring: SQL Database Administrator (with SSIS & Always On)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Brevard Area)

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US without visa transfer or sponsorship.


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to support high-priority database administration and operational efforts within a Microsoft SQL Server ecosystem.

This is a core DBA / Infrastructure Administration role focusing on SQL Server Always On High Availability and SSIS Administration/Support (not developer-focused).

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Administration & Engineering: Manage, engineer, and support complex SQL Server environments across all SDLC environments (2019–2022).
  • High Availability: Deploy, maintain, and optimize Always On Availability Groups to ensure database stability, performance, and scalability.
  • SSIS Support & Maintenance: Provide operational administration, deployment, and troubleshooting for SSIS packages and SSISDB (Admin/Support focus).
  • Operations & Incident Management: Perform root cause analysis, resolve problem tickets/work orders, participate in the on-call rotation, and address performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaboration & Governance: Partner with technology teams and business stakeholders to enforce security, compliance, speed-to-market, and data architecture policies.
  • Documentation & Mentorship: Maintain technical documentation, implementation procedures, and knowledge base materials while mentoring team resources.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on Database Administration / Engineering experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong expertise with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS Administration (SSISDB management, package execution, troubleshooting, and operational support—not ETL development).
  • Proximity to Charlotte, NC with ability to work 3 days onsite weekly.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceNow for ticket management and workflow tracking.
  • Familiarity with enterprise job scheduling via Autosys.
