About the Role

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to take the next step in your logistics career? Join our team as an Entry Writer / PGA Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth import operations, regulatory compliance, and outstanding service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Import Documentation & File Review: Review and organize import files to ensure all documentation is accurate and complete. Communicate with Customer Service when additional details or documents are required.
  • Classification & HTS Support: Classify documentation using operational system data while adhering to client-specific SOPs. Research missing HTS or product codes to ensure accuracy for future entries, and support the Import Manager with compliance needs.
  • PGA & Regulatory Compliance: Input entry data and handle Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements, with a heavy focus on FDA entries and securing "may proceed" releases. Immediately notify clients when FDA document or merchandise exams are required.
  • Release & Operations Logistics: Prepare delivery orders with FDA release statuses and issue written instructions to carriers or steamship lines when shipments require holds. Monitor releases across Customs (CBP), FDA, and other authorities while resolving census or entry errors promptly.
  • Post-Entry & Error Resolution: Correct bill of lading or related data errors efficiently and hand off completed files to the post-entry team for final assembly.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of entry writing and/or customs brokerage operations experience, with a specific focus on data entry and PGAs (FDA).
  • Software Knowledge: Experience with CargoWise One is preferred; QuestaWeb is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. and international geography (countries, major cities, ocean ports).
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Core Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong multitasking abilities, self-motivation to work independently, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
