Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Database Administrator / Software Developer to support a federal program focused on bridge inspection systems and mission-critical infrastructure data. This role will develop and maintain enterprise applications and databases supporting the Federal Lands Highway Division. This position is onsite in Ashburn, VA, with a compressed work schedule available. Responsibilities for the Database Administrator Includes: • Develop, test, and maintain web and Windows-based applications supporting bridge inspection data. • Design, administer, and optimize SQL Server, Oracle, and Microsoft Access databases. • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database packages. • Perform database migrations, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and capacity planning. • Develop reports and data visualizations using Crystal Reports, Power BI, and GIS tools. • Troubleshoot application and database issues while maintaining federal security and engineering standards. • Maintain schemas, data models, data dictionaries, and technical documentation. • Support field inspection activities and data collection, requiring up to 25% travel. Qualifications for the Database Administrator Includes: • Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Classic ASP, VB.NET, Visual Studio, and Python. • Strong experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and Microsoft Access. • Proficiency with JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, XML, JSON, HTML/XHTML, and VBA. • Understanding of relational database design and object-oriented programming. • Experience with database administration, patching, tuning, and maintenance on Windows servers. • Familiarity with NBIS, NTIS, SDMS, PONTIS, BrM, or AssetWise preferred. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
