Job description

Urgently Hiring!

Join us in Northern Michigan - voted best place to live and one of the most beautiful locations in the country by multiple publications and television shows! We are looking for quality-focused, committed BCBAs and are offering a $10,000 signing/relocation bonus!

Discover the true outdoors in Northern Michigan, with a lower cost of living and endless outdoor activities nearby - from beautiful, crystal-blue freshwater lakes, navigable rivers and mountain bike trails in the summer to skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling in the winter. Plus, nearly year-round opportunities to hike, hunt, fish, explore dozens of wineries/breweries, and enjoy all of the unique shopping and dining opportunities across Northern Michigan. We offer relocation, competitive pay, a maximum caseload of eight (8) clients, paid time off, performance bonuses, full benefits, flexible schedules, a learning-based culture, and significant career growth opportunities. We are also a locally owned business - all North Arrow BCBAs are eligible for our Employee-Owner program, giving you a voice in company decision-making as well as a share of company profits.

We are currently seeking BCBAs to provide treatment to children diagnosed with autism, in our clinical center setting as well as in client homes. The successful applicant will provide supervision to Behavior Technicians and in one-on-one behavioral intervention programs for children, in addition to developing programs, behavior intervention plans (as needed), and program monitoring of their caseload.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Develop and implement all aspects of one-on-one behavioral intervention programs for children diagnosed with autism, to include VB-MAPP, PEAK, ABLLS-R, AFLS, or other appropriate curriculum-based assessments, programmatic data collection and reporting, family training program(s), social skills, gross motor, natural environment teaching and other learning programs, and treatment schedule management;
  • Develop innovative functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans under the supervision and guidance of the Executive Clinical Director;
  • Provide supervision and mentoring to the behavior technicians working with your clients, to include assisting with training and career development opportunities;
  • Participate in both mandated and unique ABA training opportunities, to include discrete trial teaching techniques, management of challenging behaviors, and child development and data collection techniques;
  • Participate in regional and company-wide team meetings monthly, engaging in and providing ongoing professional development opportunities and leadership initiatives;
  • General availability from 8am-6pm Monday-Friday based on caseload, with flexibility to attend meetings, company events, and/or to accommodate occasional client needs during off-hours.

NECESSARY SKILLS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A keen interest in serving children of all ages and abilities in a collaborative, team-based environment where no BCBA is an “island”;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time and to follow through on commitments made;
  • Willingness to accept constructive feedback for both professional development and in the improvement of clinical skills and treatment plans;
  • Strong inter-personal skills to build professional relationships with clients, co-workers, Medicaid case managers, and other involved community members;
  • Ability to build rapport and a positive, professional relationship with families and other client caregivers from diverse backgrounds;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance to travel between clients within Northern Michigan;
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions). These demands include frequent standing, walking, and sitting; reaching with hands and arms to climb or balance; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and, lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
