Job Summary:
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, focused on advancing sustainable air mobility through all-electric aircraft. The Staff Artificial Intelligence Research Engineer will design and implement machine learning algorithms, collaborate on research, and transition prototypes into production-ready systems.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and evaluate novel machine learning and deep learning algorithms, with a specific focus on autonomy, trajectory prediction, and perception.
• Iterate on predictive and decision-making model development, starting from the data needed for training, architecture, input/output representations, evaluation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with other research engineers to prototype and validate complex solutions from academic literature related to agent behavior and environmental understanding.
• Conduct experiments to benchmark new techniques and evaluate model behavior in dynamic or simulated environments.
• Develop tools and frameworks to support scalable and reproducible research.
• Communicate research findings to leadership in a concise, and convincing manner.
• Stay current with the latest developments in Autonomy and Generative AI to identify relevant innovations.
• Assist in transitioning research prototypes into production-ready systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
