Job description

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our leadership team as a Regional Nurse Consultant supporting multiple skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers throughout Central Upstate New York.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a clinically strong nursing leader who is passionate about improving quality outcomes, mentoring clinical teams, and driving operational excellence across multiple long-term care communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to multiple skilled nursing facilities.

  • Partner with Administrators, Directors of Nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional resident care.

  • Monitor and improve clinical quality measures, regulatory compliance, infection prevention, and survey readiness.

  • Analyze clinical and quality data to identify trends and implement performance improvement initiatives.

  • Mentor and develop Directors of Nursing, Assistant Directors of Nursing, Unit Managers, and nursing leadership teams.

  • Assist facilities with state survey preparation, plan of correction implementation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Support staffing initiatives and clinical operations during leadership transitions or periods of need.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures.

  • Travel regularly between assigned facilities throughout the Central Upstate New York region.

Qualifications
  • Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.

  • Multi-facility leadership, Regional Nurse Consultant, DON, or Assistant Regional experience strongly preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations, New York State Department of Health requirements, and survey processes.

  • Proven ability to improve clinical outcomes and quality metrics.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.
