Job description

Position Summary

Nashville Dental, Inc. (NDI) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations including order fulfillment, bulk merchandise handling, receiving, shipping, inventory management, and general warehouse support. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, playing a critical part in ensuring our customers receive accurate and timely shipments.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, physically capable of warehouse work, and willing to assist across multiple warehouse functions as business needs require.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment

  • Accurately pull merchandise orders (small package and bulk) according to pick lists and shipping documentation
  • Ensure orders are completed in the sequence received
  • Operate handheld scanners and computer systems to track inventory and orders
  • Verify accuracy of items selected prior to shipment
  • Rotate inventory using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices

Bulk and Palletized Shipping

  • Stack completed orders onto outbound pallets
  • Shrink-wrap pallets securely for shipment
  • Load outbound pallets onto UPS/FedEx trailers for scheduled pickups
  • Assist in staging shipments and maintaining organized shipping lanes

Receiving and Inventory

  • Receive inbound freight and small package deliveries
  • Unload LTL trucks and parcel deliveries using manual and powered equipment
  • Verify received goods against purchase orders
  • Enter receipts into the inventory system and file supporting documentation
  • Put away inventory into proper locations and create new locations as needed
  • Restock primary pick locations when inventory is depleted

Warehouse Operations and Safety

  • Operate powered and non-powered industrial equipment (fork trucks, pallet jacks, rolling stairs, ladders, carts, etc.) in accordance with safety policies
  • Monitor warehouse equipment and report safety or maintenance issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Assist with production orders and special projects as assigned
  • Perform other duties as needed to support warehouse operations

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, or order-fulfillment experience a plus
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (training provided as needed)
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld scanners
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and reach throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift 20–30 lbs. repeatedly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to push/pull heavy loads using non-powered pallet jacks
  • Ability to work in warehouse temperatures that may reach up to 100°F
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
