Job description

The Center Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of The UPS Store, including opening and closing the center, ensuring the delivery of world-class customer service, and providing daily operational reports to the franchise owner.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of two years of experience working at The UPS Store. They should possess strong customer service and communication skills, solid computer proficiency, and the physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, and standing for extended periods. The successful candidate must have a dynamic personality, strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a team to achieve optimal performance. Weekend availability is required

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures all The UPS Store operating procedures are followed and maintains 100% compliance with franchise standards and policies.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and continuously improves customer service delivery to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Conducts employee training, prepares schedules, and provides ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Manages inventory levels and ensures adequate supplies are maintained.
  • Prepares and presents daily performance reports as requested by the store owner.
  • Oversees center maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and organization are maintained at all times.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the store owner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working at The UPS Store is required.
  • Availability to work weekends is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Notary Public certification is required.
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and common office software applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks, including bending and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
