Job Title: Food Service Attendant

Department: Administration

Reports To: Sand Trap Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Classification: Part-Time, Seasonal; Non-Exempt

Work Environment: This position primarily works indoors with potential for food / beverage cart operation.

Summary: Providing quality food and drinks for patrons of the golf course, overlook activities center or other Township food service site while keeping a clean facility and following R.A.M.P. rules and regulations.

Essential Functions:

1. To conduct yourself as a professional all times in the interest of providing a good example to both patrons and personnel. Communicate policy, rules, and regulations; ensure work meets quality standards, while following safety standards.

2. Serve food and drinks utilizing appropriate food/drink handling techniques.

3. Responds to any safety situation in accordance with policies and procedures.

4. Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by management.

5. Assist with preparations for catered outings, food preparation, set ups and clean up.

6. Ensure proper handling of food supplies and cleanup of kitchen tools, work surfaces and equipment.

7. Potential to drive food and beverage cart on Overlook Golf Course and within the Overlook Community Campus.

8. Light cooking.

9. Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) computer systems.

10. Assist members with food and beverages as they are playing golf on our exceptional course.

11. Drives food and beverage cart on Overlook Golf Course and within the Overlook Community Campus.

Physical Requirements:

1. Able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time and intermittently.

2. Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers.

3. Ability to reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.

4. Ability to talk, hear, and see.

5. Occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs.

Competencies:

1. Knowledge of basic math, addition, subtraction, etc.

2. Knowledge of government food handling and sanitation regulations including National Restaurant Association ServSafe Certification

3. ServSafe Certified preferred

4. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures for equipment and tools.

5. Knowledge of department policy, procedures, and work rules.

6. Knowledge of State Liquor Control Board regulations for food service establishments including RAMP Certification

Preferred Education and Experience:

1. Basic Math and two years in a restaurant setting

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age

2. Must be able to work the schedule as described

3. Must be able to work independently

4. Must have reliable transportation
