What we need

The Training & Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for leading the execution of Exol's workforce training program across the network, with a primary focus on frontline warehouse operations, site readiness, process adoption, and field training effectiveness. This role translates Exol processes, Exol Operating System (ExOS) standards, safety and quality requirements, and operational expectations into practical training execution at the site level. The role partners closely with Operations, Safety, Quality, HR, and training/content creation partners.

Exol* is pioneering fulfillment as-a-service, offering outsourced warehousing operations and specializing in automated warehousing solutions. Our focus is on the efficient movement of goods in cases and pallets across all sectors, such as CPG, food and beverage, wholesale, and retail.

What you'll do

  • Lead field execution of Exol's workforce training program across site launches, ramp-ups, steady-state operations, and continuous improvement efforts

  • Deliver and reinforce classroom, e-learning, hands-on, and on-the-floor training for frontline warehouse roles, supervisors, trainers, and site leaders

  • Develop and maintain a practical train-the-trainer program so site leaders and designated trainers can deliver consistent training across the network

  • Build the operating rhythm for onboarding, role qualification, cross-training, refresher training, and training readiness for new processes or customer requirements

  • Partner with Operations to translate Exol processes, ExOS standards, work instructions, and standard work into site-level training execution

  • Work with HR and the Learning administrator to ensure assignments, completion tracking, and learning records support the field training program

  • Coordinate with outsourced training/content partners to create or improve custom training materials, videos, job aids, and facilitator guides based on field needs

  • Partner with Safety and Operations to support MHE/PIT and forklift training requirements, including trainer qualification, certification readiness, and recurring compliance needs

  • Support site launches by creating training deployment plans, validating role readiness, preparing trainers, and ensuring training materials are available before go-live

  • Track and communicate training effectiveness, including completion, qualification status, field adoption, time-to-proficiency, audit findings, and learner/site feedback

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Education, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience leading and delivering workforce training programs in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, fulfillment, or other high-volume operational environments

  • Strong facilitation skills with experience delivering classroom, hands-on, and floor-based training to hourly frontline teams and operational leaders

  • Experience building or scaling train-the-trainer programs, role qualification programs, cross-training models, or structured onboarding programs

  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, standard work, safety practices, quality expectations, productivity expectations, and frontline operational routines

  • Ability to translate SOPs, work instructions, process changes, and operational standards into practical training plans, job aids, and facilitator guidance

  • Experience partnering with HR, Operations, Safety, Quality, and third-party training or content development partners

  • Comfort using LMS data and training records in partnership with HR or LMS administrators, without being the primary Workday Learning administrator

  • Familiarity with MHE/PIT, forklift, safety, or compliance-driven training environments; forklift trainer certification or ability to become certified is preferred

  • Experience supporting multi-site or network-level training programs, site launches, ramp-ups, or automated operations is preferred

Our Environment

  • Travel could be up to 50% of the time. Employee must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis

  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, and tolerate warehouse environmental conditions (temperature variations, noise, etc.)
