Description
The incumbent in this position will be to assist the truck driver to safely back up the vehicle, help oversee condition of materials that are loaded in truck, help driver load & unload truck, be able to use of MapQuest or city maps for home pick-ups. Will also assist in the warehouse when needed.
The ideal candidate must know concepts, methods, applications, and techniques of state truck traffic laws and regulations. Must know how to routinely service and perform maintenance on trucks.
Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions). Must be available on weekends, as needed, to ensure Company's merchandise is delivered/picked up as scheduled. The physical demands would be to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
