The engineer also supports colocation maintenance activities by reviewing planned work, coordinating with stakeholders, presenting critical maintenance changes for approval, and managing day-to-day vendor coordination.
Responsibilities
CMMS Standards and Asset Management
  • Develops, implements, and maintains CMMS standards for Oracle-owned data center facilities infrastructure.
  • Builds and manages asset hierarchies, equipment records, location structures, naming conventions, asset attributes, and lifecycle data within the CMMS.
  • Establishes data-governance practices to ensure asset records are accurate, complete, consistent, and traceable across Oracle-owned sites.
  • Develops and maintains equipment naming standards, asset-data requirements, documentation expectations, and quality-control processes.
  • Supports asset onboarding for new construction, expansions, retrofits, and major equipment replacements.
  • Validates asset information, equipment tagging, ownership assignments, technical documentation, and maintenance requirements before operational handoff.
  • Coordinates with site teams, engineering, construction, commissioning, reliability, and operations teams to resolve asset-data gaps and maintain CMMS accuracy.
  • Supports audits, readiness reviews, reliability assessments, and operational handoffs by providing accurate CMMS and asset data.

Maintenance Program Development and Work Management
  • Develops and manages asset-based preventive, predictive, corrective, and inspection maintenance programs for critical facilities infrastructure.
  • Creates work-order templates, job plans, task lists, maintenance frequencies, labor estimates, material requirements, safety notes, and acceptance criteria.
  • Defines maintenance requirements using equipment documentation, O&M manuals, single-line diagrams, commissioning documents, manufacturer recommendations, and operating experience.
  • Identifies maintenance-coverage gaps, duplicate work, overdue maintenance, incomplete procedures, and opportunities to improve maintenance effectiveness.
  • Supports work-order planning, scheduling, execution documentation, and closure quality for critical infrastructure maintenance.
  • Ensures maintenance history, work records, equipment documentation, and follow-up actions are accurately captured in the CMMS.
  • Supports development of critical-spares strategies, bills of materials, spare-parts associations, and inventory linkage within the CMMS.

Electrical Distribution and Liquid Cooling Infrastructure
  • Develops maintenance standards and asset-management requirements for electrical distribution infrastructure, including switchgear, UPS systems, batteries, PDUs, RPPs, transformers, breakers, panels, busway, generators, transfer switches, and related monitoring systems.
  • Supports maintenance-program development for liquid cooling infrastructure, including CDUs, manifolds, pumps, heat exchangers, controls, filtration systems, valves, piping components, and associated monitoring points.
  • Partners with Facilities Engineering, Operations, Reliability, Commissioning, Construction, and Data Center Operations to define asset-based maintenance requirements for critical facilities systems.
  • Supports reliability-centered maintenance practices, criticality ranking, lifecycle planning, and maintenance-strategy improvements where applicable.

Reporting, Governance, and Continuous Improvement
  • Generates CMMS reports and dashboards for maintenance compliance, asset reliability, work-order performance, backlog management, asset-data quality, and lifecycle planning.
  • Uses CMMS and operational data to identify recurring failures, maintenance trends, reporting inaccuracies, asset-data issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drives continuous improvement in maintenance processes, CMMS workflows, asset governance, engineering documentation, and reporting.
  • Develops and maintains CMMS standards, workflows, templates, and reporting requirements in alignment with Oracle operational needs.
  • Prepares clear maintenance procedures, job plans, standards, reports, and technical documentation for site and stakeholder use.

Colocation Maintenance, Vendor Coordination, and Change Support
  • Supports Oracle colocation partners in planning and executing maintenance activities affecting Oracle-owned critical infrastructure.
  • Manages day-to-day coordination with maintenance vendors, including scheduling work, confirming attendance, coordinating site access, and communicating site requirements.
  • Holds vendors accountable for timely attendance, complete service documentation, and resolution of site feedback or follow-up actions.
  • Reviews planned maintenance requests, MOPs, risk assessments, rollback plans, outage requirements, and customer-impact considerations.
  • Evaluates proposed maintenance for operational risk, safety, sequencing, redundancy impact, and alignment with Oracle standards.
  • Coordinates with colocation partners, Data Center Operations, Facilities Engineering, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve review comments and readiness gaps.
  • Presents critical maintenance activities and changes for review and approval through CAB meetings and other required governance forums.
  • Tracks approved maintenance through execution and verifies completion records, findings, and follow-up actions are documented.
  • Tracks and validates vendor invoices against approved work, attendance, completed service documentation, and agreed deliverables; provides supporting information to responsible teams or leaders for approval.
