Job description

Schedule: Mondays: 9:30am - 6:00 pm. Tuesdays through Fridays: 8am - 4:30pm.

Location: IU Health Methodist Hospital
Department: LifeCare

Position Details: LifeCare provides outpatient adult HIV treatment and prevention services in a multidisciplinary clinical setting located at IU Health Methodist Hospital. The Case Management Specialist is part of the Social Work team that supports the patients of LifeCare and is an integral part of the health care team. This is a patient facing role that provides linkage to care services for individuals with reactive HIV, HCV, syphilis, and other STD lab results. LifeCare completes follow ups for all reactive HIV and HCV results from IU Health Metro Region Emergency Departments.

Position Requirements:

 High School Diploma/GED required. Associate's Degree preferred.
1-3 years of experience required.
 Requires the ability to comprehend third party contractual arrangements.
 Requires basic computer skills including the ability to enter progress notes and other data in multiple medical record systems. Basic familiarity with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
 Requires some knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
 Requires some knowledge of managed care and government healthcare benefits.
