Safety is held to the highest regard. Adherence to the company health and safety procedures as they relate to the essential job functions. Maintenance is responsible for maintaining a wide variety of production and plan equipment. Maintenance will perform regular machine, equipment, building, inspections and repairs. Maintenance will work on all requests for the various types of maintenance work assigned.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Level 1

  1. Lead “best in class” behaviors with focus on safety, quality and policies.
  2. Effectively and safely operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment.
  3. Must follow prescribed safety rules and regulation as well as other department policies and procedures.
  4. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs as assigned.
  5. Assist maintenance personnel by performing a variety of duties as directed.
  6. Detect, document and report improper machine operation and faulty equipment.
  7. Understand and comply with LOTO, HAZ Com, PPE, Confined Space and all other Company, State and Federal Safety Programs.
  8. Train other maintenance staff as needed.
  9. Ability to perform preventative maintenance up to the skill level.
  10. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Department Assistant.

Level 2

  1. Perform Maintenance Level 1 duties and responsibilities.
  2. 2+ years of technical training and 3+ years’ experience or equivalent.
  3. Ability to read and understand standard mechanical and electrical schematics without issue.
  4. Provide assistance to other maintenance technicians or machine operators.
  5. Problem solving using defined methodologies.
  6. Provide support to engineering in gathering requested information and beta testing some engineering projects.
  7. Comfortable working with machine service engineers to gather information, report unusual issues and problems for resolution.
  8. Follow and perform emergency procedures regarding power failures.
  9. Can demonstrate competence and proficiency in basic mechanical or electrical tasks.
  10. Basic welding skills.

Level 3

  1. Perform Maintenance Level 1-2 duties and responsibilities.
  2. 2+ years of technical training and 5+ years’ experience or equivalent.
  3. Detect, document, report and resolve equipment issues.
  4. Ability to trouble shoot and repair equipment using both mechanical/electrical schematics and offer design improvements as necessary.
  5. Can demonstrate competence and proficiency in standard mechanical and electrical tasks.
  6. Support engineering in their projects by providing expert resource support.
  7. Write up new PM procedures and administer these through our document control.

REQUIRED SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE:

  1. Verbal and written communication in English.
  2. Forklift Experience.
  3. Understanding of press operation.
  4. Understanding of quality requirement and of ISO 9001:2015 procedures.
  5. Able to read and understand blueprints, diagrams and work instructions.
  6. Knowledge of company policies, shop and safety rules.
  7. HVAC and refrigerant systems a plus.
  8. As required, ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lift cumbersome and or heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
