Job Overview:

Italian Wood Manufacturer in Italy Requires Container Unloaders for their Distribution Warehouse in Hobart! This position is responsible for safely and efficiently unloading cargo containers from trucks and transferring the goods to a designated storage area or distribution point for shipping. This role is crucial in the logistics and supply chain industry, ensuring the smooth flow of goods for distribution.

Responsibilities:


1. Container Unloading: Unload cargo containers using hand tools. Ensure that all cargo is handled safely to prevent damage.

2. Inventory Control: Keep accurate records of the items unloaded, including quantity, condition, and any discrepancies. Report any damaged goods or missing items to the supervisor.

3. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. Operate machinery and equipment safely, following all safety procedures.

4. Sorting and Staging: Organize and sort unloaded items based on their destination, storage requirements, or distribution routesโ€”stage items for further processing or transportation.
