Title: Cards Mainframe Developer
Goal: Build, support, and optimize reliable mainframe and Unix-based batch systems with strong production stability and performance.
THE MOST RELEVANT SKILL
End-to-end mainframe batch engineering - ability to design, code, tune, and support COBOL/JCL/DB2 batch workflows integrated with Unix automation, ensuring zero-defect production runs.
SCOPE
Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2 across development, test, and production.
Support daily batch processing, analyze abends, and restore jobs within SLA.
Design and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for scheduling, automation, and backend integration with mainframe systems.
Develop and tune SQL/PLSQL objects supporting batch and integration workloads.
Monitor production systems, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
Produce technical documentation and collaborate with QA, business, and support teams in Agile delivery.
