Your role in our mission
Lead the development and modernization of healthcare claims solutions at Gainwell. We're looking for a hands-on software development lead who can mentor engineers, drive technical delivery, and partner across teams to build reliable, high-quality systems.
  • Lead and mentor software engineers to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Own technical delivery across the software development lifecycle, from design through release and support.
  • Guide architecture, development, and modernization of C/Unix-based healthcare claims applications.
  • Partner with product, business, and operations teams to align solutions with client needs.
  • Drive engineering excellence through code quality, testing, release readiness, and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for
  • 9+ years of software development experience, including technical leadership
  • Strong background in C, Unix/Linux, SQL, and system integration
  • Experience leading development teams and delivering enterprise applications
  • Healthcare claims experience required; Gainwell Interchange preferred
  • Knowledge of SDLC, release management, and modern engineering practices
  • Experience with multiple claims bundling/editing software platforms is desired

Preferred strengths
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms and DevOps practices is a plus

The pay range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
