Job description

Our client is searching for an Embedded Software Developer for a temp-to-perm position in Houston, TX.

***All candidates must work directly for TEKsystems on a W2 basis and no sponsorship is available***

***All candidates must have professional experience providing embedded software development using Linux, C++, and Python***

Duties:

•   Design, develop, and maintain the engineering tools and infrastructure supporting embedded Linux development.

•   Build and optimize automated firmware build, test, packaging, provisioning, flashing, recovery, and release pipelines.

•   Develop hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and board-farm automation for firmware validation and regression testing.

•   Integrate static analysis, automated testing, and quality gates into the software development lifecycle.

•   Build and adopt AI-assisted engineering workflows —agent-driven tooling and autonomous engineering processes — that measurably improve software quality and engineering velocity.

•   Partner with firmware, hardware, and QA engineers to solve complex technical challenges and continuously improve engineering processes.

All candidates must submit to a drug and background check.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $48.00/hr.
