SOFTWARE SYSTEM ENGINEER:
This position is for a Software Systems Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for software systems engineering products for their Scrum Team, including development of software products. Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support. Systems Engineering support for team that Maintains, debugs and configures related software products. Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications. Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. Work with SEIT organization to decompose system requirements to good software level requirements. Work with SEIT organization to drive system use cases, conops, and sequences. Work with SEIT organization to develop / update system  external interfaces. Author or assist with proposals. Perform software design - software product level use cases, sequences. Create and maintain software design - Algorithm Design Documents, Functional Design Documents EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Command and control system application development
Automated test and pipeline development experience desired Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms
Experience with Software Integration testing including developing automated test scrips
Strong problem solving skills
Experience with performance modeling
Experience with build management tools and pipelines
Experience working within an Agile development environment, domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense, experience with Systems Analysis, Model Based System Engineering, Architecture development, Virtualization, Containerization, and Cloud Computing principles. Demonstrated experience working large multi-site software development efforts including external interface development. Demonstrated experience conducting or leading Analysis of Alternatives, Trade Studies and/or Design Evaluations. Experience designing large command and control and/or weapon systems Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and MBSE tools Security+ highly desired
Good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment. Good working knowledge of MS Office products.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Model-based systems engineering - CONOPS - DOORS
In-depth understanding of systems engineering process and principles. - Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions. Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions. Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g. specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.). Candidates should have experience with developing large, complex systems. Software development experience developing applications.
