Job description

• We are seeking Infrastructure Engineers to join our Engineering team. • The qualified candidate will support the design, development, Integration, and maintenance of our virtualized Private cloud Based infrastructure framework utilizing VMware and related tools. • The environments are a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, providing the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset. • This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control. Note: • This position will be based out of the RTX Facility in Aurora, CO; but some travel to other local sites to support program activities may be required for system upgrades or maintenance. What You Will Do:
• You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with design, development, implementation, and support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Operating System for the project.
• You will develop and maintain virtualized environments using VMware for the project’s needs.
• You will generate code through scripting tools, to test, document, and maintain the virtualized system.
• You will assist with development of build/test and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise computing environments.
• You will assist engineers with RHEL based tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices. Qualifications You Must Have:
• An active DOD-S issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 8 years of related work experience.
• Experience with Linux systems administration; RHEL 6.0+ infrastructure development, implementation, and optimization for an enterprise Design.
• Experience with VMware provisioning
• Hands on experience scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.)
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers, COTS products, VMs, VDIs, and/or network issues. Qualifications We Prefer:
• Thorough background in on premise infrastructure design data center systems
• Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket etc.)
• Experience with automation tools such as Chef (preferred), Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack
• Use of vSphere PowerCLI to manage virtual machines / virtual infrastructure.
• Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps developments
• Experience with the Agile development lifecycle.
• Experience with monitoring / optimizing performance of virtualized environments.
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers, COTS products, VMs, VDIs, and/or network issues
• Experience in SAN/NAS designs and implementation
• Security Plus within 90 days.
