Job Summary

Ambria College of Nursing at Judson University seeks qualified faculty to teach didactic, clinical, and lab courses. This fullโ€‘time appointment includes teaching in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings on a trimester basis. Anticipated start date is August 2026 for the fall semester.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Teach inโ€‘person didactic, lab, and/or clinical sections of various nursing courses, as needed.
  • Develop lecture content, implement active learning strategies and assignments consistent with student knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
  • Plan for experiences that maximize handsโ€‘on patient care at the clinical site.
  • Provide direct supervision and instruction in the nursing lab setting.
  • Utilize simulation and other supportive learning programs to enhance student evolution in learning.
  • Hold office hours and remediation sessions to ensure student success.
  • Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on level of performance based on course objectives.
  • Participate in curriculum improvements to maintain currency of content and nursing best practices.
  • Engage in departmentโ€‘level projects and teams related to program review, accreditation, and strategic planning.
  • Participate in department and institutionโ€‘wide committees, initiatives, and events (meetings, graduation, pinning).
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • LPN Program clinical instructors must hold a BSN degree.
  • ADN Program clinical instructors must hold an MSN degree.
  • Unencumbered professional nurse licensure in the state of Illinois.
  • Minimum of two yearsโ€™ experience as a registered nurse within the last five years.
  • Valid BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
  • Compliance with all clinical healthcare requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MSN with an emphasis in Nursing Education.
  • Experience teaching in multiple content areas which may include mental health, critical care, medical surgical, and maternal child health/pediatrics nursing.
Salary/Benefits

The University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and retirement plans, a tuition waiver program, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.

Salary range: $60,000 โ€“ $70,000, with room for negotiations. Rank and salary are based on qualifications, education, and work experience.
