Position Summary
The Gallery Attendant will work at the front desk assisting patrons and helping with the upkeep of displays. The position is a great opportunity to work in a museum. The Maxwell Museum strives to be the most welcoming museum on campus. As the first person visitors will see upon entering, being a Gallery Attendant is a job for a people person. In this position, you will:
- Assist with opening and closing the museum;
- Greet and assist museum visitors, including providing information on museum rules and exhibitions;
- Issue parking permits to visitors;
- Keep daily tally of visitors and records numbers;
- Provide coverage in the museum gift shop, when needed;
- Run errands to different UNM departments;
- Help with upkeep and installation and deinstallation of exhibitions;
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
