About the Opportunity
The University Vehicle Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students, staff, and/or equipment to and from university-sponsored activities, events, and programs. This role requires a commitment to safety, customer service, and adherence to university and state transportation policies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate university-owned vehicles (vans or cars) for scheduled trips, events, and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, university transportation guidelines, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage reports, and fuel usage records.
  • Provide courteous, professional service to students, staff, and visitors.
  • Follow emergency procedures in case of accidents, breakdowns, or medical incidents.
  • Support departmental operations as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL may be required depending on vehicle type).
  • Minimum age requirement is 21.
  • Previous professional driving experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with loading/unloading when necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety and reliability.
  • Must pass background check and university driving clearance process.
  • Willing to get CPR certified

Work Schedule:
  • Hours vary depending on university events, programs, and transportation needs.
  • Evening, weekend, and occasional overnight availability is required.

$20-22 per hour.
